Yashwanthi Art Movies 'Kumkuma' is inspired from the Shahrukh khan starrer hindi movie Deewana(1992). There is not much differece between the stories. The direction and screenplay by Jyothindranath Vemuri is not up to the mark. Narration is slow and the movie moves in a slow pace. Dialogues are boring. The movie appears to be more of a TV soap than a movie.

Kumkuma

Story:
Madhuri (Seema) is a gynecologist who marries a fashion designer Karthik (Siva Balaji). Karthik dies in an accident. She joins the clinic run by Vamsi (Jayant). Vamsi proposes to marry her. Madhuri is reluctant but she is pursued by her father-in-law (Ranganath) to marry Vamsi. After their marriage, Vamsi introduces his patient called Balaji who is suffering from amnesia. Balaji looks exactly like Karthik and Madhuri doubts that Balaji could be Karthik. The rest of the story is all about the emotional struggle Madhuri undergoes!

Performance:
The movie revolves around Seema and her performance is commendable. Siva Balaji is impressive. Debutant Jayant is average. Siva Parvathy, Ranganath, Sivaji Raja, Dharmavarapu Subramanyam and Chinna are adequate.

Music:
Music by Ghantadi Krishna is average.
Verdict:
Below Average.
