M.S.Raju's 'Maska' starring Ram is an action oriented romantic flick. With
good production values, good starcast, good music and good storyline
'Maska' has good chances to bring huge profits at the box office.
Story:
Krish (Ram) a playboy by nature tries to woo a rich girl Manju (Sheela).
Manju happens to be the daughter of a factionist Simhachalam (Mukesh
Rushi). Krish's only intention is to become rich by marrying her. So he
starts to Maska-fy Manju. During this process he also meets another girl
called Meenakshi aka Meenu (Hansika), he starts to like her for real and
falls in love with her.
On the otherhand Simhachalam and Shinde (Pradeep Ravath) competes for the
ministry elections at Delhi. Shinde is a man of misdeeds. Shinde tries to
find faults in Simhachalam's personal life so that he can expose him in
front of the high command of the party so that his route will be clear to
get the party ticket. Shinde comes to know that Simhachalam has an other
wife (Sita) and a daughter who live in Hyderabad. He sends his men to find
them.
Story takes a twist when we come to know that Meenu is the unofficial
daughter of Simhachalam. Who will Krish tie the knot to? Who will win the
election? What happens next forms the crux of the movie.
Performance:
Ram is on a roll with 'Maska', his performance is excellent, his body
diction is perfect and he is extremely good in dance. Hansika as Meenakshi
is impressive. Sheela of Parugu fame looked glamorous and gave good
performance. Suneel had a lengthy role and his comedy was hilarious. It
was a tailor made role for the villains Mukhesh Rushi and Pradeep Ravath.
All other supporting cast also did a good job.
Music:
Music by Chakri is an added asset to the movie. Tunes are catchy and
peppy. Choreography is good. 'Bhagdad Gajadongai Vastha' and 'Hare Hare
Rama' are the pick of the lot.
Verdict:
'Maska' has all the right ingredients to brew a perfect stew. Good Comedy,
action, sentiment, romance and good music. 'Maska' can be rated as an
above average movie. One more hit for Ram. | |
