S.V.Krishna Reddy's 'Masth' is a totally avoidable movie. 'Masth' neither has good
story nor music, which used to be the strong points of S.V.Krishna Reddy's movies
in the past. He has lost his magic touch long back. 'Masth' lacks good screenplay
and story. It's production values are below standard. Most of the story is copied
from Hindi comedy flick 'Tom Dick and Harry'.
Story:
Siva (Shivaji), Srinivas (Srinivas) and Pandu (Ali) are good friends and live
together. Among them Siva is blind and Srinivas is deaf. They meet Anupama
(Anchal) who is an orphan and they give shelter to her. Siva falls in love with
her. Here comes the twist in the story, Bahadur (Mukul Dev) a sadist is after
Anupama, to love him and marry him. She escapes from him and She also has a lover
(Siva Balaji) in her past life.
Performance:
Sivaji goes overboard enacting as blind. Srinivas and Ali's comedy is poor and
they do an average job. Anchal has good figure but her acting skills need to
improve. Mukul Dev is impressive as a sadist villain and he is okay.
Music:
Music by S.V.Krishna Reddy is mediocre.
Verdict:
'Masth' is a total waste of both time and bucks. 'Masth' can be rated as a below
average movie. | |
