The title of the movie 'Naa Girlfriend Baaga Rich' has nothing to do with the story of the movie. The movie
has been partly copied from hollywood movie 'Transporter', especially Bramhanandam's Mike Tyson
character. Screenplay and direction by Nagendra Kumar is very poor.
Story:
Sanjay Sastri (Sivaji) is a champion in golf whose only ambition in life is to wed a rich
woman. Luckily he meets Sraavya (Kaveri Jha) who is rich and they both fall in love. Sraavya flies to USA
where her parents, father (Ahuti Prasad) and mother (Tulasi) reside, to seek permission to marry him and
sends him a ticket to Bangkok and arranges a meeting between Sanjay and her parents in Bangkok. The
hero is introduced to Mike Tyson (Brahmanandam) who is a killer and their bags get exchanged in
Bangkok. Sanjay doesn't open his bag until later but Mike Tyson does once he
reaches Hyderabad. Mike Tyson is panicked since he has to retrieve his bag as it contains
heads of eight dead men and Sanjay wants to get rid off it since his would be in-laws
are baffled and shocked after discovering the contents in the bag. What happens next forms the crux of the
story.
Performance:
Sivaji's performance is okay. Bramhanandam as Mike Tyson did not invoke any laughs among the
viewers. Kaveri Jha is apt and looked glamorous.
Music:
Music by Anand is good. Couple of songs are catchy.
Verdict:
'Naa Girlfriend Baaga Rich' is a total waste of time. It neither has good story nor good comedy. It can be
rated as below average. | |
