'Neninthe' tells us about real life behind the reel life. Itvis a reflection
of the lives of the people dependent on films for survival. In the process
of narration, the director has touched several corners of film world and
slashed several departments surrounding film world like the technicians,
junior artistes, the neo-riche producers and mafia who aspire to have a
control over the industry to the scribes who revel in making or breaking
films by writing reviews.
Story:
Storyline is wafer thin, it’s about background dancer Sandhya (Seiya) trying
to get a foot-hold in the industry and Ravi (Ravi Teja) helps her become an
actress. While his ambition is to become a director someday, a rowdy sheeter
sets his eyes on Seiya and then on the debut film he is about to wrap up. As
the characters fall deeper into danger, their true colours start to show in
more ways than one. This results in a some tragedy, some embarrassment and a
lot of catharsis.
Performance:
Ravi Teja performs as a struggling assistant director and did his best in
his role. waiting for that one elusive break. Brahmanandam is the fat,
paunchy happening director. Debute Actor Siya plays the Lady Lead, she looks
pretty and does a good job. Subburaju is perfect as a hero, displays his
fragile ego as and when the situation demands. Ali is apt as supporting
character. Krishna Baghwan's character has negative shade and his
performance is satisfactory. Mumait as an actress did justice to her role.
No one goes overboard.
Music:
Music by Chakri is average. couple of Songs are cachy and hummable.
'Nuvvantene Picchi' and 'Oh I Miss You' are the pick f the lot.
Verdict:
In a nutshell 'Neninthe' is all about the people behind the reel and their
struggle. Watch if you are Raviteja fan. He has done a pretty good job.
Movie may not be a complete entertaining package to satisfy the thirst of
sorts of audiences. 'Neninthe' can be rated as an average movie. | |
